Alice Glenister Foundation Mongolia Charities Rally

CHC member Tom Glenister and two friends us are embarking on the Mongolia Charities Rally on July 5th and driving from London to the Mongolian capital, Ulaan Bataar.

They will be driving across the whole of Central and Eastern Europe into Russia and then on to Mongolia in a maximum of three weeks and will be doing this in an 18 year old Mitsubishi 4WD that will be donated to a local Mongolian charity at the end of the trip.

This will be a great challenge for the three lads, but the main purpose of this trip is to raise as much money as possible for two charities that are very close to their hearts.

The Alice Glenister Foundation, that helps support Orphans and under privileged children in Thailand and South East Asia, is currently about to start its third major project. This is an orphanage in Kanchanaburi in Thailand and money raised by this trip will help raise enough funds to complete the project.

The second charity they are supporting is AMECA, set up in memory of a friend, Alex Coutselos. This organisation helps to provide medical training facilities and equipment in parts of Africa where they are most needed.

The three lads taking part are funding the trip entirely themselves, with ALL the money donated going directly to the charities mentioned.
