Cheltenham Clinch Summer League

Cheltenham Men clinched the Newent Summer League with one game to spare. The team contained a mixture of players from last years 1st XI and 2nd XI squads as well as new players, all who should be pushing for a 1st XI position for season 2008-09.
The main emphasis of this league is to have a bit of fun, and keep the fitness going, so that September will not be as hard. After playing the first 6 matches, Cheltenham won all six, scoring 57 goals and conceding only 5.
Their final game is against Hereford on 18th August. Well done to everyone who contributed, giving up their Monday evenings trying to get to Newent bypassing the A40!
