VP DAY
Thank you to everyone who helped with the catering for VP Day! It was a great day, enjoyed by all. A special thanks to Angie Pearce, Isobel Shayle, Sharon Metters, Lucy Cape, Louise Slee, Karen Keating, Daisy Noble, Fiona Maffey, Tom Glenister and Rachel Chicken, whose help on the day I couldn't have done without.
The day kicked off with the traditional match between the Vice Presidents XI and the Club President's Select XI. The game was played in great spirit, with the President's XI enjoying a narrow victory. Lunch was followed by an exciting match between Cheltenham Men's 1st XI and Gloucestershire County U17 boys. The U17 team put in an excellent performance, but were outplayed by the home team.
Photos from the day are on the vice presidents page of the Website.

AGM & SUMMER BAR-B-Q
Please come along to the clubhouse on Friday 6t June at 7pm, to support the AGM. We will hear a round up of the season from each team captain, plus hold elections for next season's Executive Committee and team captains. As soon as the official stuff is over, we will celebrate the end to a great season with a Bar-B-Q. Of course this event is free to attend, so we look forward to seeing a good representation there from each team.

NEXT SEASON FUNDRAISING IDEAS
The summer months are a great time to take stock and think about next season. With this in mind, we are keen to hear from you with any innovative fundraising ideas that you may have. Please email sophyj@hotmail.com with ideas for socials and fundraisers that you would like to see at the club next year.
ALTRUISTS CORNER
Want to make an old lady very happy? Sue Bayley, your Club President - who incidentally turned 40 this week and doesn't look a day over 21 - is taking part in the Cheltenham Circular Challenge, a 26-mile walk, for charity. If you would like to sponsor her, please click here: www.justgiving.com/suebayley
ROUNDER, ROUNDER, ROUNDER!
For the last few years, CHC has entered a superbly inexperienced team into a very serious local rounders league. In fairness, our opponents are very tolerant of our general ignorance of the laws of the game.
If you are interested in being a part of this dynamic, yet slightly under-performing set-up, please contact Demi on GLewis@central-tech.gloucs.sch.uk. Our home pitch is at Balcarras.
Also, we REALLY need an umpire this season. So if anyone feels up for the job, we can send you on top quality umpire training (with international umpire - and all round good egg - Rodders), who is hosting a training match on the 8th May.
FROM THE HORSES MOUTH
Have you ever read the quotes on the CHC website? They all come from the mouths of our eloquent and well-informed team mates. So if you have heard an 'absolute classic' on or off the pitch, email it to us and we'll include it, not only in the next newsletter, but also on the 'Quotes' page of the website.
Don't let them get away with it!
SPONSORS
Many thanks to SMP for their sponsorship last season and their continued support in the coming season, and to Bollin Legal for their sponsorship this season.
