This re-arranged league game saw Cheltenham start slowly and found themselves a goal down after ten minutes from a well taken short corner from the home team. However Cheltenham then rallied and after 15 minutes Captain Karen Keating equalised with a fierce shot from the edge of the D to put them back on level terms.
Cheltenham then played some excellent 3 touch hockey as player of the game Rachel Chicken dominated the centre of the midfield. Sophie Jowett's timed run to pick up the ball and strike led to Cheltenham's 2nd goal after her shot was tipped in by Helen Lord. A Third was added from a quick break out of defence to right midfield who then found Jo Taylor in acres of space in front of goal with no marker and she coolly slotted it past the keeper to score.
The second half saw Cheltenham continue to soak up any pressure from Devizes with some solid tackles in defence from Emma Dunn and Angie Pearce. January Vibert, returning to the side after a long term back injury and Gemma Stevens worked tirelessly in midfield and with the rotating forwards of Jowett, Lord, and Taylor and Sharon Metters, they gained several short corners and a fourth goal was scored by Rachel Chicken from a rebound off the goalkeeper. The fifth goal for Cheltenham came from a well worked move finished by Keating to make the final score 5-1.
