Ladies 3s -vs- Cirencester

21 March 2009

3 - 1

What a finale to a fantastic season for the Ladies 3s! A 3-1 win with 3 quality goals coming from Sarah Dale, Jemma Jones and Ness Burton. The team was coolly composed, exhibiting structure and pace, with a solid defence. Cheltenham opened the scoring with Sarah Dale demonstrating her skills to drive the ball from into Cirencester's D, to score. Skills from Jemma Jones, outpacing Cirencester players on many an occasion, and Ness Burton, dodging past several of the opposition with her excellent stick work, netted Cheltenham 2 more goals as neither player gave up until their goals went in. The only goal scored by Cirencester was a lucky break as attacking play from the Cheltenham ladies 3's broke down and the ball escaped out of Cirencester's 25.
