Player Behaviour Policy
Cheltenham Hockey Club has the following player behaviour policy that must be adhered to at all times in all competitive and non competitive competitions the club enters.

International Honours
In the event that a Cheltenham Hockey Club player represents his or her country, and has to contribute personally to travel, accommodation and subsistence, the club will review on a case by case basis and where funds permit, contribute an amount to the player.
Men's Selection and Policy
The Men's squads will be selected on a Tuesday evening by the selection committee and players are informed on the Wednesday with further clarification on a Thursday at training. This enables flexibility to cover for injuries and unforeseen disruptions. The committee is made up of the captains plus the Men's club captain, Alex Hay and the Head Coach Lee Robson. Players are selected for each team with consideration to training, attitude, formations and obviously ability. Players are encouraged to discuss their selection with the committee or a member of the committee especially Alex Hay if they have any concerns. It is up to the player to inform their captain if they are unavailable for a match, preferably with a week's notice.
There is an additional training session every Tuesday for the A squad, that takes place at Cheltenham Boys College, from 7.00 -8.30pm. The following ladies that are involved in the Tuesday night A squad training:

Ladies Selection and Policy
The Ladies squads is also selected on a Tuesday evening by the selection committee and players are informed on the Wednesday with further clarification on a Thursday at training. The committee comprises the 3 ladies captains plus the ladies club captain, Louisa Dowsett and the Head Coach Graham Cartmell. Players are encouraged to discuss their selection with Louisa Dowsett if they have any concerns. It is up to the player to inform their captain if they are unavailable for a match, preferably with a week's notice.
Training for all ladies teams takes place at Balcarras School, every Thursday evening: 6pm meet for a run, 6.30-8pm training. It is important to attend as many sessions as possible and if for any reason you can't make a session please inform Graham via text on 07882 225667. Make sure you put who it is from so he knows!
