On the whole, the ladies 1s enjoyed a successful season, finishing in 6th place in the West Prem 1 league. The squad welcomed some new players this season, including Michelle Walker from New Zealand, Sian Evans, Daisy Noble and Gemma Stevens. Top goal scorer was Sophie Whittaker who also earned the title of Ladies 1s Player of the Year.
Some highlights of the season include drawing with a very strong Bath team and beating ISCA both home and away. The ladies 1s would like to thank all of the coaching staff and players who contributed to make it such a great season - both on and off the pitch. Preparations for 2008-2009 are now underway, with the coaching team working with a Ladies 1s squad that is stronger than ever before.
