The first social of the year was a great success. Members of every age group, team and guests to the club came and joined in the mixed tournament. There was beautiful weather for playing a bit of hockey – sunshine and clear blue skies. There was a lovely and friendly atmosphere throughout the day. Newcomers to the clubs had remarked how friendly and welcoming everyone had been.

The BBQ and bar were running throughout the day. Some members proving they were just as talented with some tongs on a BBQ as a hockey stick on the pitch.

The teams were mixed up every game leading to some unusual combinations. And of course more than a little rivalry between team mates. The overall winner of the tournament was Jonny. But, the surprise challenger of the tournament was the young Amelia who definitely gave the adults a run for their money!

All smiles and friendly hand shakes now. Stark contrast to the game faces and desire to win seen just a few minutes before.

Thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and those who pitched in on the day. We hope that you all enjoyed Fun Day as much as we did. It was a brilliant way to start the season, and we cannot wait to see what the rest of the season has in store!
