Voted Club of the Year at the 2009 Gloucestershire Echo Sports Awards, Cheltenham Hockey Club (CHC) is celebrating its status as the most successful hockey club in the county. CHC fields 5 men's teams and 3 women's teams, CHC is a dynamic and friendly club, with fantastic playing facilities that are located next to CHC's very own social club. The Men's 1st XI compete in the EHL Men's Conference West, the only club in Glouccestershire to do so. The Women's first XI compete at the highest level regionally, with sides in West Premier 1 and Premier 2, again the highest standard in the area. Not to be outdone the rest of CHC offers a wide variety of hockey of all standards - from outdoor to indoor, mixed to summer league. We welcome new players at all standards. VP and Club Day
Vice President and Club Day will take place on Saturday 4th September. There will be the opportunity for current members to play against a VP XI (11:30am push back) as well as the chance to see the Men's 1XI in their first warm up match against Plymouth Marjon ahead of their England Hockey League campaign (2:00pm push back). The bar will be open and there will also be a BBQ available. New players are welcome.
Pre-season Training
Pre-season training has started up again on Tuesday nights at Oxstalls for both ladies and men. The sessions start at 7:30pm prompt and all players are welcome to attend. Please bring plenty of water, sticks, shin pads and suitable footwear for both hockey and running. Strength and Conditioning Fitness Sessions
Fitness sessions have started on Mondays for both Ladies and Men from 7:30pm - 8:30pm on the grass next to Balcarras. The primary objective for the sessions is to increase the intensity with which you are able to perform, as well as reducing recovery rates after games. Sessions will be taken by Men's third team captain and fitness guru Tristan Gardner. CHC Junior Summer Camp

Former Cheltenham, England and Great Britain hockey star Ben Marsden was on hand to present Cheltenham with THREE awards at the Gloucestershire Hockey Association awards.
