A superb all-round team performance saw the side record a convincing 4–0 victory over Wotton-under-Edge.
The opening goal came after 20 minutes when Ray slid in at the near post to finish a well-worked move from the baseline. Oscar Henson doubled the lead on 32 minutes, showing sharp instincts to tip in at the far post. Freya joined the action immediately making an impact with her speed, pace of pass and communication skills. Ray then struck again in the third quarter, driving into the circle and firing home from the top of the D for his second of the afternoon.
Ray completed his hat trick from a short corner, rifling a strike from the top of the circle to make it 4–0 and seal the result.
It was an excellent team display from front to back, combining impressive composure of the younger players with the guidance and experience of the senior squad members. The balance, discipline, and teamwork on show made for a performance to be proud of — a perfect example of the club’s strength in depth and spirit.
