about U16 Girls Cheetahs
Cheltenham runs two U16 girls’ teams. The Cheetahs compete in the Tier 2 (T2) West League and the T2 National Championships. Matches take place on Sundays.
The Cheetahs also play in the Avon Junior Hockey League (AJHL).
Cheetahs training is on a Friday evening, 2000-2100 hrs, at Cheltenham College. There is also the opportunity for those who would benefit from further development to train on a Wednesday evening, 2000-2100 hrs. The coaches are Dave Peacey (Level 2) and Anne Tranter.
The group is always vibrant, supportive and energetic, bringing together girls from a wide variety of schools, which is excellent for developing new friendships.
Achievements include: National T2 Plate Semi-Finalists 2022, Avon Junior Hockey League Runners Up 2025.
