A hot day, especially for November, first game of the day up at Balcarras was the Ladies 3s.

For much of the game the majority of possession and attack was in favour of Cheltenham, but try as they could during the first half they could not covert this into outcomes or goals. Their attacking style of play soon saw them caught out too high up the pitch and vulnerable to some quick counter attacks, which handed their opposition a 2-0 lead going into half time.

Never ones to give up and let the scoreline get their heads down, action was needed in the second half. A quick response was found with Cheltenham’s first short corner of the game, and a superbly deflected strike into the top corner, our Ladies 1st team would have been impressed! Two more converted short corners soon followed, establishing the lead and some breathing room!

The game was sealed with one more goal in open play, well worked and a team effort! Once again the hard work and determination of all the ladies paid off, with excellent performances and great team spirit from the youngsters and adults!

The first win of the day, and (spoiler alert) the first clean sweep and max points on a weekend, this season, for the ladies section with wins for the Ladies 2s and Ladies 1s later in the day!
